Sketch with Yellow Asterisk

Once again, I find gold at the The Missouri Review. Take a minute and click over to read Sketch with Yellow Asterisk by Josh Booton. Josh is James A. Michener Fellow in poetry at the University of Texas-Austin.

The poem opens and immediately hooks with a look at a child’s drawing and it’s perspective. The work picks you up and carries you from there, crossing through memories and geographies of experience, full of the ache and beauty of connection, loss, and life.
