The last few days have been more of the same, PT and walking. More new exercises with Carl and more laps around our neighborhood.
Today I had the six weeks follow-up appointment with my orthopedic surgeon. They made new x-rays and looked at my surgery site and said that all of that was looking good. But when he checked my range of motion, he told me that they would need to schedule an appointment to do manipulation under anesthesia. I agreed, then he said he wanted to do it tomorrow morning. Wow. That was a little surprising. He then said that it would be best to do it as soon as possible, in order to offer the best possible outcome.
So that’s the plan. Tomorrow I check in at the surgery center at 6 am, they bend it at 7, and out of there before lunch. Then I have another PT appointment at 2 pm. It sounds like a busy day. They also said that I would be going back to a five-per-week PT / rehab schedule.
That should keep my calendar full all the way through New Years. I hope that this will be my last visit to the surgery center for a long, long time.
